Bozeman's Will Kaiser works towards the goal on Aug. 31 at Bozeman High.

Billings Senior tied Bozeman in the 27th minute. But the even score lasted only four minutes.

Zach Springer and Sam Byerly each scored later in the first half, and the Hawks closed out a 4-1 win Saturday in Bozeman over the Broncs.

Nathan Mcomber scored Bozeman’s first goal in the 10th minute off an assist from Will Kaiser, and Jackson Coles added the Hawks’ fourth score on Kaiser’s second assist of the game.

“My biggest takeaway was our ability to combine in the final third,” Bozeman head coach Hunter Terry said. “Our attack has been very dynamic and creative. Our forwards are doing a great job hunting for open space in behind their back line. I thought our defending was solid and aggressive.”
