Bozeman struggled to find its usual rhythm until the second half. In sloppy conditions in Missoula for the semifinals of the state tournament, Bozeman needed time to acclimate.

Helena scored first, and Bozeman led by three goals at halftime. But Bozeman eventually pulled away in the 14-3 win and will face Missoula Hellgate on Sunday seeking its third straight title in a rematch of last year’s championship.

Ellie Lewis scored a game-high four goals, Emma Jarrett added three goals and an assist and Lizzie Totten and Macy Duncan each scored twice. Ella Roe and Alissa Livingston scored once apiece while Sydney Rogers totaled a goal and two assists.

Lexi Emeny recorded eight draw controls, and Malaina Springer picked up three ground balls.

Bozeman outscored Helena 9-1 in the second half to secure the victory.
