Josie Blazina was the lone athlete from Belgrade to win a divisional championship over the weekend at the Eastern AA Divisional in Billings.

The junior won the triple jump by more than a foot after leaping a personal best 35-feet, 10-inches. Blazina also earned silver in the long jump with a mark of 16-feet, 5.50-inches.

Led by Blazina’s effort, Belgrade’s girls placed seventh in the team standings among eight teams with 35 points. The boys also finished with 35 points and placed eighth.
