Alexandra Rolquin, 12, of Bozeman, was the only Montana youth karate athlete at the 2023 American Athletic Union Qualifier on March 11 in Yakima, Washington.

Competing against opponents from karate clubs in the Pacific Northwest and Canada, Rolquin won silver medals in the weapons and Kata divisions. She withdrew with an injury before she could try for a third medal.


She earned an invitation to the Junior International Championships in April in Las Vegas.
