“I think choosing not to play was a part of the journey that I was set on,” Basye said. “And I think that was really important in realizing what I really wanted to do. I'm just excited to play basketball again."

Following a challenging season that concluded with the program’s 16th consecutive state tournament appearance, there were six members of the Belgrade softball team who received postseason honors.

Montana State senior and All-American performer Lucy Corbett completed the Bobcats’ stay at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor West First Round Track and Field meet, placing 34th with a mark of 5 feet, 7.75 inches in the high jump on Saturday afternoon at Hornet Stadium.
The Belgrade Bandits kicked off their season Saturday hosting the Bozeman A Bucks in a doubleheader at Medina Field. While Game 2 was rained out, the teams were able to complete Game 1.

Both the Montana State and Montana football teams will once again have a nationally televised regular season game in 2023, the Big Sky Conference announced Wednesday.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Montana State’s Duncan Hamilton ran the World’s fastest time this season in the 3000-meter steeplechase, clocking a school and Big Sky record of 8 minutes, 16.23 seconds Friday night at the NCAA Outdoor West First Round in Hornet Stadium.
