Big and Rich

Big and Rich

Headwaters Country Jam is going big in 2019. Big and Rich, that is. The three-day festival, held outside of Three Forks, will welcome the triple-platinum country duo Big & Rich on Friday as one of more than a dozen acts playing the festival.

The "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" performers aren't the festival's only headliners; Kelsea Ballerini and Rodney Atkins are scheduled to be features, as well. Ballerini is the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry (inducted in April 2019) and has received praise from country stars like Carrie Underwood. Since 2015, six of Ballerini's hits have charted in the top 10 on Billboard's Country Airplay; of those, four charted at No. 1.

Atkins has charted eight songs on Country Airplay's top 10 since 2004, with six hitting No. 1. The most recent, "Take A Back Road," peaked at No. 1 in November 2011, 11 days before Atkins was arrested for domestic abuse. The misdemeanor charge was cleared from his record in 2012 after Atkins underwent court ordered anger management. He released his fifth studio album, "Caught Up in the Country," on May 10, 2019.
