The Bozeman Police Department reports for Wednesday included the following:

• An officer found marijuana inside a man’s car. The officer destroyed the marijuana.

• Someone turned in a gun found on Bridger Canyon Road.

• A caller was concerned about hot air balloons landing in a park without permission.

• Someone had a question about legally shipping a gun.

• An officer ticketed someone for having a chicken without a permit. The person was also given 10 days to license a dog and was required to remove a turkey from the property.

• A large motorhome was parked in a handicap spot. A caller reported the motorhome’s handicap placard looked fake.

• Someone dumped a large cabinet off at a park. Two men admitted dumping it there and said they thought someone would pick it up if they left it in a public place.

• Officers responded to 165 calls.

The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office reports for Wednesday included the following:

• Cows were on a road and on a caller’s property, bumping into his trailer.

• A man reported he lost his black horse that was last seen about a mile from his ranch. The man later found the horse.

• A caller reported seeing smoke near Logan. A deputy found nothing was on fire and that the caller was likely looking at the sunset.

• Deputies responded to 138 calls.

The Gallatin County jail held 163 inmates Thursday.
