The Bozeman Police Department reports for Thursday included the following:

  • There was a dead cat at an intersection. The caller wanted someone to know.
  • A woman reported runners in the area may get hit by cars. Police will watch the area and speak with runners about any unsafe running.
  • A man and woman got into a verbal argument over food on a plate from the previous night. After coming home from work, the man went into the bathroom for two hours. Because he didn't communicate with the woman, she became upset. Both people were shouting.
  • Officers responded to 157 calls.

The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office reports for Thursday included the following:

  • Deputies investigated a cat shooting. A cat was shot with a bow and found with an arrow through it. The cat was rushed to an emergency vet and was euthanized.
  • A deputy was given a wallet found on a bike trail. The deputy left a message with the wallet's owner.
  • Deputies responded to a report of a bear trying to break into a home. Deputies contacted a game warden.
  • Deputies responded to 146 calls.

The Gallatin County jail held 156 inmates Friday.
