The Bozeman Police Department reports for Tuesday included the following:

• A burnt car was in a parking lot. An officer spoke with the car owner who was aware of it.

• A shaggy dog was loose in an alley.

• Someone stole a bright yellow “slow child” sign.

• A caller reported people driving “ridiculous speeds” near kids playing soccer. An officer found no speeders in the “ridiculous” category.

• Officers responded to 131 calls.

The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office reports for Tuesday included the following:

• A deputy helped a black bear get out of a construction dumpster and join his mother and sibling.

• A driver reported a truck with a white taillight was distracting.

• A homeowner threatened to release ferrets left by renters into the cold.

• Deputies responded to 126 calls.

The Gallatin County jail held 165 inmates Wednesday.
