The Bozeman Daily Chronicle is pleased to welcome Angie Wasia and Will Swearingen as members of its community editorial board.

They join current community members Renee Gavin, Richard Broome and David Swingle, as well as publisher Mark Dobie, managing editor Nick Ehli and opinion page editor Bill Wilke. The board meets regularly to discuss mostly local and state issues and strives to arrive at a consensus that is published under the “Our Opinion” heading on the daily opinion page.

Wasia moved to Bozeman in 1986 to attend Montana State and holds degrees in history and Spanish literature. She and her husband Chris own Genesis Engineering in Bozeman. The couple has two children, both currently attending MSU.

Swearingen has worked for Montana State University since 1991 and was executive director of MSU’s TechLink Center from 2000 to 2018. He has a doctorate in geography from the University of Texas. He has lived in Bozeman for nearly 30 years.
