Dolores Steed Kelso, formerly of Manhattan, passed away peacefully Monday, March 6, 2023, in Apache Junction, Arizona, at the age of 95 after a short illness. Dolores was born May 20, 1927, in San Diego, California, to Guy and Elizabeth Steed. Dolores met her future husband, Donald Kelso, on a blind date set up by her cousin Bud Lilly. They were married May 31, 1947. Dolores worked as a clerk in one of the local grocery stores in Manhattan and later as a receptionist at a residence hall at Montana State University. She and Don retired and spent 40 winters at Roadhaven Resort in Apache Junction, AZ, and their summers in their motorhome in Bozeman at Sunrise Campground. Dolores enjoyed camping with family and friends, playing cards, and reading. Dolores is survived by her three children, David, Susan, and Gary (Debbie); five grandchildren, Rob, Rachel, Katie, Jenn and Michael along with several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Don. She will be buried at Manhattan Meadowview Cemetery next to her husband. No services are planned. Dolores Kelso S Kelso
