Constance Ruth Lewis (known to most as just Connie), 73, passed away May 30, 2018 in Reno, Nevada in the presence of family.

Born in Council, Idaho to Arthur and Margaret Gough on January 17, 1945 she was the third of four children. Connie grew up in Orofino, Idaho where she graduated from Orofino High School in 1963. She attended a year of college at the University of Idaho planning to pursue a degree in education, which was a great joy to her, before falling in love with Larry Lewis and marrying him on August 19, 1964. In their 25 years together, they raised four children and lived in several small towns in Washington, Idaho and Montana before settling in Gardiner, Montana. After the passing of her husband, she moved to Livingston, Montana where she was able to work for the Livingston Public Library and share her love of books with the community and her grandchildren. Later she moved to Bozeman and worked at Holy Rosary Catholic Church for many years. Due to declining health, Connie moved to Gardnerville, Nevada to be closer to family. Connie’s life revolved around family, religion and sports. She loved to watch her children and grandchildren participate in a variety of activities and was an avid fan of the hometown Gardiner Bruins as well as her favorite professional teams the Chicago Cubs and Denver Broncos. She was an extremely loyal fan and was very happy when her beloved Cubs finally won the World Series the year after the Broncos won the Super Bowl. She enjoyed a good game of Texas Hold’em and was often successful in many of the tournaments she played. Connie was an active member of the Catholic Church her entire life and spent much of her time volunteering, being a lector, visiting the sick and socializing with other church members. Connie loved sharing stories of past events, especially those involving family.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband Larry Lewis, her parents and her brother Terry Gough. She leaves behind her four children Daryle (Kathy) Lewis, Jodie (Chuck) Jensen, Buffy (Brian) Smith and Keith (Nicole) Lewis; her twelve grandchildren Dalton, Bridget, Abby, Sage, Tyzer, Evan, Payten, Neil, Kyler, Erin, Dominic and Elliott; and two brothers Mick (Barbara Garner) Gough and Ken (Gaye) Gough.
