Snow or shine, it’s homecoming weekend for Montana State University.

The Bozeman flagship has a number of events scheduled leading up to Saturday’s home football game against Sacramento State University, which kicks-off at 2 p.m.

On Thursday, the windows of North and South Hedges Residence Halls will be lit to spell out “Go Cats” at 9 p.m.

Friday will be chock-full. The Homecoming Pep Rally, hosted by the Bozeman Downtown Association and MSU, starts at 5:30 p.m., at the intersection of Main Street and Willson Avenue. A DJ will play music and free hotdogs and refreshments will be provided.

Bobcat Football Head Coach Jeff Choate, team captains, the Spirit of the West Marching Band and the spirit squad will take part in rallying for the game. The event is free and open to the public, and Streamline buses will be on hand to take people to the downtown location.

The lighting of the “M” will start at 8 p.m., Friday following the rally.

Before kickoff Saturday, the Homecoming Parade will march down Main Street starting at 10 a.m., with floats, candy and marching bands.

The MSU Alumni Association will host its annual tailgate starting at 11:30 a.m., on the Kagy Practice Field. Admission costs $20 for people aged 21 and older, and $10 for 20 and younger.

The National Weather Service predicts Saturday will have clear skies and a high of 45 degrees. More information on MSU’s Homecoming can be found at montana.edu/homecoming.
