A man injured while mountain biking near Big Sky was rescued by Gallatin County Search and Rescue personnel Wednesday afternoon.

According to the sheriff's office, at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, deputies and the Big Sky Fire Department received a report of a 38-year-old man who was hurt in an accident on a trail near Andesite Road.

Deputies and firefighters located the man using data from his cellphone but determined that the terrain would not allow him to be removed be vehicle, so several members of the search and rescue team responded.
