Police are searching for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman on Babcock Street and Ferguson Avenue early Saturday morning, according to a Bozeman Police Department news release.

Officers responded to reports of the assault around 12:45 a.m. Saturday. The woman told police a man physically restrained her as she was walking on North Ferguson Avenue. He was last seen running down Babcock Street in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as being about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with short, dark hair and wearing an oversized, dark-colored jacket. He was also wearing light-colored pants and athletic shoes, according to the news release.

No one else was injured and it appears to be an isolated incident, police said.

No other information was available Saturday afternoon.
