Donald Lopez Garza

Donald Lopez Garza, 40, appears via video Friday in Gallatin County Justice Court.

Bail was set at $100,000 Friday for a Three Forks man accused of raping two girls and failing to tell law enforcement he moved as required for a registered sex offender.

Donald Lopez Garza, 40, is charged with a sex crime and failure to register as a sex offender, both felonies. Garza appeared in Gallatin County Justice Court before Judge Rick West.

A woman reported to Gallatin County sheriff’s detectives in October 2018 that Garza sexually abused two girls, according to charging documents.

On Thursday, Garza told a detective he moved about two weeks prior. Garza is a registered sex offender, police said in charging documents, and is required to tell law enforcement within 72 hours of moving.
