Gandolfo’s Deli in the University Square Shopping Center in Bozeman has closed, with owner Eric Joder saying this week that the space has been sold to a new business.

“There’s a new concept going in there,” he said this week, adding he wasn’t ready to provide details on the buyer’s plans.

The business had been for sale for about two years, Joder said. A classified ad he placed in the Chronicle in winter 2016 advertised it as a “turn key business” with “$380,000+ in annual revenue.”

The deli, located next to Staples in the University Square Shopping Center at 23rd Avenue and West Main Street, had been open since 2004.

The shopping center, anchored by an Albertson’s grocery store, is owned by a company out of Columbia, Missouri, according to state property records.

“We’ve been there for a long time,” Joder said. “It’s just time for us to move on and do something else.”

“We had a good long run in there,” he added.
