Buffalo Wild Wings is packing up and moving down the street, according to managers.

“I think the town’s going to love it,” said Anthony Bourne, director of marketing and development for the group that manages Buffalo Wild Wings in Montana.

The restaurant will move from 2047 W. Oak St., where it has been since 2008, to Baxter Lane and 19th Avenue, less than a mile away. The new spot should give customers a different experience when they visit the restaurant, Bourne said.

That will include more parking and a new seating layout that provides easier access for groups. Buffalo Wild Wings has traditionally opted for seating layouts that make it easier for people to watch sports on TVs, and now newer restaurants are emphasizing group seating, with things like corner booths, he said.

The new location will also feature an outdoor seating area and patio with views of the Bridgers. He said the new building will likely be bigger and have a new design and newer equipment.

Bourne said he couldn’t go into specifics in case things change during construction, but there are several other new features he thinks people will be excited about. Buffalo Wild Wings is hoping to open the new location in November, and Bourne said he doesn’t know what will go in the old space after the move.

“This is going to be the newest generation of Buffalo Wild Wings,” he said. “It’ll be one of the first in the country that’ll look like this.”
