Local healthy aging consultant Kay Van Norman, president of Brilliant Aging, received a Quilly Award from the Academy of Best-Selling Authors for her third book, “The Success Formula,” released July 2019. Kay collaborated with multiple authors, including Jack Canfield of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul series,” to offer strategies for improving both health and wealth. Sarah Dittner, a longtime D.A. Davidson professional, has been promoted to serve as the firm’s Bozeman branch operations manager. In her new position, Dittner plays an important role by working closely with, and supporting, the branch manager and branch professionals in several important areas. Mark Dobrenski, sales associate with with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Montana Properties, has been awarded the Golden Eagle Service Award at the 2019 Montana Association of REALTORS® Fall Convention in Great Falls. Jeren Starr, vice president of American Bank, recently graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School (PCBS). The PCBS provides a three-year graduate-level program whose courses encompass risk management, financial performance and leadership. Participants complete seven rigorous inter-session written assignments, including an original management thesis. Starr started with American Bank as a credit analyst in 2013. He was promoted to vice president in January of 2019.

Dr. Amy Kafer, a veterinarian at Black Dog Veterinary Services, successfully completed the American Chiropractic Certification Commission (ACCC) Certification Examinations and is now certified in Animal Chiropractic by the ACCC of the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. In order to become certified in animal chiropractic, one must graduate from an approved and accredited educational program and must pass both the comprehensive written and practical examinations.
