Novermber Business Journal Luncheon

Gov. Steve Bullock gives remarks on the current Montana economy to local business leaders gathered for the November Business Luncheon, hosted by the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, on Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bozeman.

Gov. Steve Bullock is the nation's fourth most popular governor, according to a poll released Tuesday.

Bullock's approval rating was 66 percent in the new survey by Morning Consult and the highest ranked of all Democratic governors. A similar poll by the same organization published three months ago put Bullock's approval rating at 61 percent.

The number of voters who were undecided on Bullock's job performance dropped from 18 to 15 percent. Voters who disapproved of his performance also dropped from 21 to 19 percent.

The most popular governor is South Dakota Republican Dennis Daugaard, who had a 74 percent approval rating.

Kansas' Republican Gov. Sam Brownback was again the least popular governor in the country, according to the poll.

Morning Consult surveyed 71,900 registered voters in all 50 states from early May through early September. The margin of error in Montana was plus or minus 6 percent.
