BOBCATS ADD SIZE, DEPTH TO DEFENSIVE FRONT: The MSU football program got bigger where it was needed most Monday, when head coach Jeff Choate announced the addition of a pair of California junior college defensive linemen.

Tight ends Austin Barth and Woody Brandom caught two touchdowns apiece at Memorial Stadium in Great Falls, where the Montana State offense was sharper than the defense in the Triangle Classic scrimmage.

Montana State has to replace four starters and 122 starts on its offensive line. Despite a new coach, a transfer center and a host of young players, the Bobcats appear to have a good start at building a solid offensive front.
