History

The Chronicle was founded as a weekly in January 1883. For many years, the Chronicle was delivered as an afternoon newspaper Sunday through Friday. On April 1st, 1996, the Bozeman Daily Chronicle converted to a morning publication with a new design. Its first Saturday edition was introduced on June 7, 1997.

Now the paper is published daily by Big Sky Publishing LLC. The Chronicle is owned by Pioneer Newspapers Inc., of Seattle. It is the fifth largest newspaper in Montana. You'll find more news, more sports, more classifieds and more of what you expect from your local newspaper.

Let us show you around! Tours of our building and printing plant may be arranged by calling 587-4491. Tours may be scheduled Monday through Friday and generally take about 40 minutes.
