Letter to the editor: Mr. Adams, Mr. Sullivan gave more to students than required

Bozeman lost two larger-than-life teachers in the last couple of weeks - Bob Adams and Gary Sullivan. Their impact in the classroom lasted long after their retirements, and the flame of inspiration still burns bright for many students.

Personally, I did not have Mr. Adams; I did have Mr. Sullivan as my art teacher in sixth grade on the third floor of the Willson School. It was in that classroom that I became more than a kid with a hearing loss, I began to learn how to communicate at many levels. "Don't just do art, speak with your art and tell a meaningful story" is what I most remembered during a one-on-one conversation with Mr. Sullivan after school one day. On that day Mr. Sullivan lit a flame that has guided me into a successful graphic design and printing career some 25 years later.
