HELENA – Few governors know their way around campaign finance laws like Gov. Steve Bullock.

After defending those laws as Montana’s attorney general, Bullock hoped to add to them this session, but he’s been paired with a Legislature that has done little to improve transparency in political campaign contributions and advertising.
