A groundbreaking ceremony for Bozeman’s eighth elementary school will take place Monday, northwest of the intersection of Durston and Flanders Mill roads.

Members of the public are invited and asked to enter the site from the access road off Durston Road. Refreshments will be served.

Bozeman voters approved last May a $26 million bond issue for three construction projects, and the biggest is building the new school, which is needed to handle a growing number of students. The new school will open in 2014.
