Apollo 13 astronaut Lovell inspires Bozeman High students

Jim Lovell, one of America’s most famous astronauts, told Bozeman High School students on Thursday it was exciting to be one of the first humans to fly to the moon and see its hidden, dark side.

But the more surprising and moving experience was seeing the first Earthrise over the moon surface. Alone in the blackness of space, the Earth was the only spot of color, a blue and white sphere, fragile and delicate.
