One of the men shot Friday morning in Bozeman died in a Seattle hospital, Bozeman police said Saturday.

The 24-year-old Bozeman resident was being treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for a gunshot wound to the abdomen, according to the police statement.

The man’s name has not been released. Police Chief Ron Price referred reporters to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, which said it will not release any information about the victim until Monday afternoon.

Police on Friday arrested Cody Christopher Little, 25, for the shootings. Little was charged with two counts of attempted deliberate homicide and another count of assault with a weapon. His bail was set at $1.25 million.

Price said Saturday he had informed County Attorney Marty Lambert of the victim’s death and that changes to Little’s charges would come from Lambert’s office.

Police were called around 4 a.m. Friday to the corner of Ferguson Avenue and Monroe Street, where they found three people shot and witnesses restraining Little.

Witnesses told police that Little had been arguing with the shooting victims at a nearby party and that he left for a while and returned with a shotgun.

The two surviving victims both had leg injuries. One of them was taken to a Billings hospital.
