Authorities are investigating the cause of a crash that killed the sole occupant of a Cessna 182, which came down in a barley field west of Bozeman Monday morning.

Jarrod Dearden, 34, of Ogden, Utah, died in the crash that left the 4-seat, single-engine plane flattened and mangled in a field located near Four Corners off Pine Butte Road around 8:11 a.m.
