DEER LODGE (AP) — Montana State Prison officials said Wednesday there have been no sightings of an escaped inmate or the pickup truck he is suspected of taking from the prison ranch.

Steven Robb, 47, of Great Falls was reported missing Tuesday, prison spokeswoman Linda Moodry said.

He left in a blue GMC pickup with a flatbed and license plate number MSP 344, she said.

The Great Falls Tribune reported that Robb was sentenced to 20 years after pleading guilty to aggravated burglary and assault for breaking into his estranged wife's house in 1987 and attacking a man with a metal bar and baseball bat.

He also was charged with kicking a 15-year-old boy in the face, the newspaper said.

Robb was released on parole in February 2005, but the parole was revoked in September 2010 after he was arrested for misdemeanor assault in Great Falls, Corrections Department officials said.

Robb was sent to a program where offenders are assessed and offered chemical dependency treatment in an effort to avoid returning them to prison. He was returned to prison in October.
