Educators, legislators, students and those who have an interest in the future of education will weigh in on "Rethinking Education for the 21st Century" when the Burton K. Wheeler Center at Montana State University hosts its fall conference Sept. 20-21 at the Best Western Great Northern Hotel in Helena.

The two-day event will bring together persons from a variety of constituencies who will discuss education on the local, state and national level.

Agenda items will include a discussion of strategies and initiatives to improve education, the role of the private sector, the use of technology, national education standards, retention and dropout rates and administrative efficiencies and special problems.

Conference fee is $45 and includes a continental breakfast, lunch and all conference materials.

Registration is open through 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15.
