Gallatin County residents have until April 15 to apply for dust control mitigation, county officials said Tuesday.

The Gallatin County Road Department partners with residents every year to provide dust mitigation on the county's 1,300 miles of dirt and gravel roads.

A stretch of roadway has to be at least one-half mile long to qualify. If more people apply than the budget allows, only roads with high traffic volumes will be considered.

The county will begin mailing out forms detailing the costs of the service in the next few weeks. Applications should be submitted to the Road and Bridge Department, 205 Baxter Lane West, Bozeman MT 59718. Contact the road department at 582-3250 with questions.
