The Bozeman Formal Dance Club is sponsoring an elegant evening of dancing at the Gallatin Gateway Inn, Saturday, Jan. 28, starting at 7:30 p.m.
The Highlites will play a wide variety of ballroom, swing, Latin, nightclub and country dance music. Dancers are asked to wear dressy, formal attire – cocktail dress or gown for the ladies, dark suit or tuxedo for the men. Non-members, both couples and singles are welcome. Bring clean, non-marking shoes with to preserve the wood dance floor at the Inn.
Admission is included with memberships or $20 for guests.
'High Noon' screens to benefit Three Forks' Depot Defender
The Three Forks Area Historical Society continues its Depot Defender fundraising activities with another lecture and matinee scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 28. Prior to a screening of "High Noon" starring Gary Cooper, local historian Patrick Finnegan will talk about the making of the film and some of the movie’s Montana connections.
The lecture will start at 1 p.m. at the Methodist Church Annex, 116 Cedar St. Tickets are $5 at the door, and there will be popcorn and refreshments for purchase, as well as selected items from the Headwaters Heritage Museum Gift Shop. Depot Defender memorial brick forms and t-shirts will also be available.
