Native Waters Project debuts exhibit, film

The public is invited to preview a new traveling exhibition, Native Waters: Sharing the Source, and a film, "A Dream for Water," developed by Montana State University's Native Waters Project on Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 7-9 p.m. in MSU's Strand Union Building, Ballroom C.

The Native Waters exhibit, invites visitors to reflect on the importance of the Missouri River in our lives.

Native people from 22 tribes throughout the Missouri River Basin contributed to create this traveling exhibit and film. Through text and recordings, they share cultural and scientific knowledge, offering multiple ways of understanding water - through art, symbol, metaphor, and science.

In doing so, project contributors encourage people everywhere to renew their respect for this life-giving essence and commitment to protect this shared resource.
