Why do ranchers have so much pull over bison issue?
Re.: the article by Scott McMillion, I would like to know WHY the ranchers have so much pull over animals deemed as belonging to the public? I grew up on a dairy in Minnesota and know for a fact that calves can be vaccinated for brucellosis and be covered for life, just like the polio shots etc. ... so how come they can be so cheap at the expense of so many?
I for one am sick of the excuses. If they can afford the "growth implants," why can't they afford to inoculate for a lifetime of protection and future calves? There is never that question brought up when talk of brucellosis gets going. Why not?
