What is the E-Chronicle?
The E-Chronicle is our online version of the Bozeman Daily Chronicle. It is exactly like the print edition of the Chronicle, but conveniently accessible through the Internet seven days a week. This subscription-only service is perfect for customers who live outside of the the Gallatin Valley area, are concerned about recycling volume the print edition produces, or simply prefer to read their Bozeman news on the Internet We offer this service free to our print edition subscribers who have paid at least six months in advance or pay with one of our E-Z Pay options*. If you are eligible for a free E-Chronicle subscription and know your print edition account number you can go directly to our E-Z pay and pre-paid registration page. What does the E-Chronicle cost?
If you are not a current subscriber to the print edition of the Bozeman Daily Chronicle it will be $5.20 per month to access the E-Chronicle. Why don't you offer free access to E-Chronicle for everyone?
It is a matter of fairness. We can't continue to ask our print subscribers to subsidize the cost of the Web site for those who do not subscribe. Our company is making a substantial investment in top-notch news reporting and the technology to bring it to you quickly and efficiently, seven days a week -- in the printed newspaper and on the Web. The cost of doing so is steep -- we cannot give away the product.
Remember, if you're already a pre-paid subscriber to the printed edition of The Bozeman Daily Chronicle and have pre-paid for at least 6 months or taken advantage of one of our EZ Pay options, access to the E-Chronicle costs you nothing. Our E-Z pay and pre-paid registration page will give you access to the E-Chronicle.
Am I eligible to access E-Chronicle free of charge?
Yes, if you are a pre-paid subscriber to the printed The Bozeman Daily Chronicle and have pre-paid for at least 6 months or taken advantage of one of our EZ Pay options*.
We allow free access for newspaper subscribers by matching the Web user's registration information with our list of print delivery customers.
If I am not a print subscriber to The Bozeman Daily Chronicle, what is the payment method?
Payment will be by credit card (Visa, Master Card, or Discover). The charge will be $5.20 per month. You'll enter credit card information when you subscribe to our site. We will charge your credit card $5.20 each month unless you cancel your E-Chronicle subscription. All credit card transactions and registration for E-Chronicle are done on our secure server -- the safety of your information is very important to us.
How do I cancel my web subscription?
Email subscribe@dailychronicle.com to cancel your subscription. Please let us know your full name, address and phone number to ensure prompt service. After you cancel, the E-Chronicle will still be available until the end of your current billing period. Refunds will not be given for unused time.
Why should I subscribe to The Bozeman Daily Chronicle when I can access your free web site at no cost?
Our free web site still offers limited state and national news, special features such as some of the top headlines, the Classifieds section, the This Week section, ASAP for our young adult readers, and our web cams. The E-Chronicle is an exact replica of the print edition we put out each morning. It includes, among other things, all articles we publish, pictures, advertising inserts, comics, puzzles, and letters to the editor.
Can I access The Bozeman Daily Chronicle archives with my E-Chronicle subscription?
Our archives date back to June 4, 1996 and can be accesses with your E-Chronicle Subscription. We also have copies of most newspapers from the past year available for reference and purchase at our office and most public libraries in southwest Montana will have archives that can be searched for free.
